The legendary 1907 “château” hotel on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Central Park.

The Plaza stands on the west side of Grand Army Plaza, between Fifth Avenue and Central Park, at the park's south-east corner. The 18-storey French Renaissance-style “château” was designed by Henry Janeway Hardenbergh. The base is clad in marble and the upper floors in white brick, and the building is crowned by a mansard roof.

Today it is a hotel and a condominium residence; since 2018 it has been owned by Qatar's Katara Hospitality.
